A big thank you to my pet photography clients and fans all over Canada and the World for voting me 'Best Photographer' in the 2011 Readers Choice awards. I also thank you for voting 'Johns Pet Photography' the Best Photography Studio; a clean sweep. I love you all and appreciate your continued support and business. This past year has been a blur and the next year will be warp speed! We have some amazing projects that are underway, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled.T.O.-Toronto-GTA-Quebec-Montreal-Ottawa-N.Y.-New York Animal photographer, Johns Pet Photography

I have been capturing photography for major magazines in Canada for 4 years now; here is my latest double feature! This session was for "Animal Magazine" out of Quebec, a TVA Publications Inc. Cannon, Gunner and Pumpkin were having a blast racing around the property and enjoyed every minute of the photo session. Although we captured some amazing on location studio portraits, outside was all action. I captured so many great images that Cannon was also featured as the centerfold; a star is born! Toronto-Quebec-Ottawa Pet photographer, Johns Pet Photography.

Quincy, a 2 year young Labradoodle during her first professional family pet photo and video session. After we captured several amazing studio portraits, Quincy was ready to head out! As the only professional pet photographer and pet videographer in the world, you bet I had an awesome time with her this afternoon; her momma had fun as well :). The first known use of the term "Labradoodle" was by Sir Donald Campbell to describe his Labrador/Poodle cross dog in his 1955 book, "Into the Water Barrier".

Minion, a 5 month young Morkie shows us his prize. After teasing his cousin Mya for a short, he finally decided to pose during his first winter photo session. Laura, Minion's proud momma, said he is a ball of energy, playful and loves his belly rubs! He also loves to tease Mya by leaving food unattended for her, then barks like crazy when she attemps to eat it. Of course, like all little ones, he sleeps like a baby at the end of his day :).

Mya, a 2 year young Beagle struggles to keep Minion out of her space. Although Mya is known to be greedy when it comes to treats, she always strives for the comfort of anyone near by. The Beagle is a breed of small to medium-sized dog. A member of the Hound Group, it is similar in appearance to the Foxhound but smaller, with shorter legs and longer, softer ears. Beagles are scent hounds, developed primarily for tracking hare, rabbit, and other game. They have a keen sense of smell and tracking instinct that sees them employed as detection dogs for prohibited agricultural imports and foodstuffs

Jackie, a 2 year young Golden Retriever, just loves the snow in her hometown of Cayuga. Although she was loving the attention of her first professional photo session, when the toy rope came out, she was ready to retrieve. Golden's were historically developed as gundogs to retrieve shot waterfowl such as ducks and upland game birds during hunting and shooting parties. As such they were bred to have a soft mouth to retrieve game undamaged and have an instinctive love of water.

Riley, a nearly two year young Golden, is all play. He was named after a pub where his Momma and Poppa met and his birthday is Valentines day. His nick names are Bum-Bum, Poop-Face, Muffin-Toes & Fluffy Arse. The past two Halloweens he has dressed as Fred FlintStone and a Lobster. Apparently he also has a thing for the TELUS Bunny and is going to live FOREVER like all of our family pets :). Binbrook-Hamilton Pet Photographer

Emma, a 6 year young Border Collie, has a wolf like instinct. During her first professional photo and video session, she continuously tried to attack my cameras while herding me in a circle like fashion. The Border Collie is a dog breed developed in the Anglo-Scottish border region for use on farms to assist with the herding of livestock. Their intelligence has been observed as having an intuitive quality that goes well beyond basic instinct. Such sensitivity calls for an environment that engages their higher faculties; otherwise, they can become distressed.

Sweet Sarah has not had the best of life. Rescued from a life of breeding for a puppy mill; she was finally rescued from her life of misery. Sarah is only approximately 2 years old and has already had litter after litter. She came to us in poor condition so emaciated and having recently had a litter of 16 puppies. Sarah’s home should be one that has the time and patience to build her confidence. She has never known what it is like to be a part of a family (pack). She is sweet natured and on the shy side. Happy 1st birthday Ginger! Almost a year after Momma and Poppa decided to answer an add regarding Morkie puppies, you are finally one! Your energy and spirit bring life to Momma and Poppa and they are grateful for your love and unique personality. Whether you are trying to avoid getting your nails clipped or burning energy running in circles for no valid reason to be seen, your company is always enjoyed. We are glad that the 1st ever Grand Oaks pet birthday party was in honor of your young and happy life. We look forward to your second birthday and the time in between; we love you!

Happy 1st Birthday Zena! I love capturing family pet birthdays, especially 1st birthdays. Rosie from www.munchiesbarkery.com hand made Zena's cake as she does all of the GTA's pets. This was not my first photo session with Zena so she was comfortable with my presence. But once the cake arrived, she hopped off my lap and waited impatiently as we sang to her. I am also excited to capture her first free run in the local dog park in a few weeks after her surgery; see you soon pretty girl.

Heeeeeeeeere's Lucy! At only 12 weeks, this Shih Tzu/Poodle cross already knows how to enjoy her time at the park like a seasoned pro. That being said, she has yet to perfect the stopping part of the running process. As of this point, no teeth have been found missing and her nose is still in joint!

As you can see, Cocoa and Shadow seem to be enjoying their 1st birthday photo session by having a wrestling match. As I know from plenty of experience, Golden-Doodles are one of the most playful and energetic puppies around. This makes capturing their personalities extremely easy. As for the winner of this sibling rivalry, Cocoa got the best of her twin brother.

Shaili, a golden retriever, spends her afternoons chasing a water hose.

Waldo, a Morkie puppy (maltese/yorkie cross) gets a lot of hugs.

Grumpy cocker spaniel pup wishing the photo shoot was over.

Echo, a 11 1/2 year young golden retriever, loves to work and has successfully competed in obedience earning her CD.

Lola the pug and Hedgy the hedge hog in a stalemate.

Poppa and his new little girl. She has no name yet, but this cute Morkie, a Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese cross, is already part of the family.

Just as the winter swoops in, they catch one last day of fall with their Golden Retriever pal Samantha.

Ruby, a 10 week young American Bulldog/Boxer cross, finds splendor amongst the yard.

As the official photographer for the Jack Russell Terrier Club of Canada (JRTCC), I enjoy capturing their events. Here is LoMax, showing us why he may be the next high jump champion of Canada.

Hershey, a 2 year old male PBGV (Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen), was named due to his affectionate personality and endless kisses that he provides .

Lincoln rounding turn four onto the straight away.

Poppa's little girl, surveying her new summer stomping grounds.

Max, a Shih Tzu cross, enjoys skipping.

Lola, a pug, burning off some steam.

When your 17 years and 6 weeks young...your allowed to take a nap in the park. Rest in Peace Monkey Face, we miss you.

Eye's don't lie...he is spoiled.

Ember shows us her pearly whites.

How do you stop Winston, a roti/black lab cross in full gallop? You don't!

Megan does the 100m in 4.6 sec.

Winston and Webster, canine siblings, chasing each others tail...a time-honored tradition.

Chloe, the "Frisbee Queen" of reservoir field.

Molly, an 8 year young Cock-a-Poo (Cocker Spaniel/Poodle cross), enjoying a run in the park.

Simon calls this the cocker spaniel trot.

Webster, a chocolate lab cross, is all smiles :)

Sandy, a shih tzu/poodle cross, loves staying active around the garden.

Jazmin the Collie playing soccer, her favorite sport.

Buckley, a Golden-Doodle, romping through the field..

Taking a little breather as the session winds down.

Time for another dip.

A little sibling rivalry always makes for a good time.

Diablo, a mini pincer, barrels down the lane way.
